Contract Industrial Engineer – Die tooling
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer with a specialization in die tooling to join our clients team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing expert guidance and support in tooling design, process engineering, and factory acceptance testing. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish processes and procedured for Die tool commissioning.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their die tooling requirements and provide expert guidance on tooling design and optimization.
- Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Conduct thorough factory and Site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) procedures to validate the performance and functionality of die tooling systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve any tooling-related issues during production.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, production managers, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or Trade qualifications and siginificant experience in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in die tooling design and process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including stamping, forming, and machining.
- Experience conducting factory acceptance testing (FAT) and familiarity with testing procedures and protocols.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tooling design and simulation (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel internationally as required to meet with suppliers.
