Draftsperson

With a reputation for reliability and exceptional customer service our client specialises in providing fabricated materials handling solutions to the construction industry.

Their equipment is designed to enhance efficiency and safety within their clients’ operations, ensuring a reliable and safe outcome. We are working with them to find a Draftsperson with fabrication and layout design knowledge.

You will be primarily responsible for creating 2D layouts and detailed fabrication drawings using AutoCAD, with some projects also requiring the use of Solidworks for 3D design.

Your designs will be tailored to site and client requirements, whilst ensuring the solution designed can be fabricated successfully. There will also occasionally be the need to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate the integrity of your designs.   

It is essential that you have proficiency in 2D AutoCAD on fabrication and layout drawings, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills and some basic FEA experience.

Furthermore, you will demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines and have excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

Experience with SolidWorks or Inventor an advantage.
