Distribution Centre Manager

Our client is a leading building products manufacturer that has built a reputation for providing innovative and high-quality products while delivering exceptional customer service to their clients.
 
Currently, they are looking to add a Distribution Centre Manager to their Sydney team.
 
The role is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the site, including all logistics and loading operations, and will provide leadership to various teams, including the planning and scheduling of labour and equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, overseeing the distribution centre’s performance, and being the driving force behind a continuous improvement mindset to add value to existing processes and systems.
 
More specifically, you will play an integral part in the development of an integrated ERP system for the distribution centre, and you will be expected to lead the distribution centre with a safety-first mantra and demonstrate this by leading by example.
 
To be successful in this role, you will be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline and have significant demonstrated experience in a distribution and leadership role across a multi-shift operation. It is essential that you have extensive experience in working with a Warehouse Management System and have experience working with products of various sizes, dimensions, and weights that add to the complexity of this role.
 
A hands-on leader, you will be agile with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and support this with the ability to analyse data and use this information to support efficiencies.
