Business Development Manager / Territory Sales Manager – VIC

Committed to delivering customer focused solutions, and having a strong partnership with their end users, they have a unique opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their Melbourne operation. This highly autonomous role is servicing customer across Victoria and Tasmania, and will include regular travel.
The Role:
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be tasked with developing a Business Plan and Sales Strategy to ensure sales goals and growth objectives are met in your assigned territory.
With a healthy mix of new and existing business, your key accountabilities will include:
- Identifying new markets to penetrate, new business opportunities and attending trade and networking events to expand footprint and generate leads
- Managing assigned Key Accounts and continuously improving customer relationships to capture value-adding opportunities and expand product and service offerings
- Developing promotional campaigns and marketing solutions
- Participating in new product launches and introducing them to market
- Analysing current market trends, competitor products and market share
- Monthly sales forecasting and reporting
Your Profile:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar technical sales role, preferably within the same industry. It is also expected that you have a proven track record in developing sales strategies, product presentations and meeting business sales targets. You are a high energy professional, a strong and confident communicator and love going above and beyond when partnering with your customers to provide exceptional service. Given the level of autonomy in this role, it is imperative you have strong planning and organisation skills and the ability to multitask and reprioritise when business demands are changed.
You must have experience working with a CRM system and be diligent in logging all sales activity.
